Project Scope and Objectives
Innovative support for cities towards a circular economy
Cities play an important role in the digital transition towards a circular economy (CE). The need to accelerate business processes and workflows to plan, procure and implement innovative CE solutions across Europe requires tools to improve organisational and operational performance, data analytics using taxonomies to exploit and exchange CE information and data, and removal of the language barrier.
The EU-funded CircularPSP project will develop an innovative solution combining and leveraging existing and new strategic digital technologies. The project will integrate scalable platforms for city and SME users, CE data analytics using EU taxonomy and AI-injected open-linked data, and natural language processing (NLP). The envisaged solution is relevant to all European cities, ministries, and agencies.
VCG.AI’s Role
VCG.AI is part of CircularPSP, an EU-funded pre-commercial procurement project aimed at accelerating the transition to a circular economy. CircularPSP challenges suppliers to develop innovative solutions that empower municipalities, businesses, and individuals to adopt circular practices more effectively.
VCG.AI has developed a Circular Public Service Platform, a collaborative digital environment designed to help cities and municipalities manage and optimise their circular economy initiatives.
The platform provides tools for:
• Managing city missions, initiatives, and workflows
• Accessing learning materials and resources
• Engaging with AI-powered assistants
• Facilitating secure data-sharing between stakeholders
By integrating AI and data-driven decision-making, the platform enhances resource efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable economic transitions. It operates in line with the highest standards of security, compliance, and transparency in data exchange among cities, businesses, and external partners.
